FORMULA 2
Website Redesign
Formula 2(F2) cars are designed and manufactured solely by Dallara and, as all have the same engines (Renault), all the cars are basically the same. It is the driver who makes the difference in F2.
A Formula 1 (F1) car can produce anywhere between 800–900 bhp and F2 cars around 600bhp. I re-designed the F2 website to tie it into the F1 website thus creating a consistent visual language with both championships.
Project Specs
I watched the documentary Formula 1: Drive to Survive on Netflix and started to become interested in Formula 1 (F1) racing. From my research, I realised that not only is there an F1 racing championship, there is also a Formula 2 (F2) and Formula 3 (F3) championship.
Current Design
I decided to redesign the F2 website and tie it in with the F1 website to create a consistent visual language with all championships.
The F1 website has a very strong brand, with its striking colour scheme, font, responsiveness and clear use of a grid system. The F2 website does not have these design aspect .
The User
The main users for this website would be people who are interested in Formula racing. This website is content-heavy and needs to present the information to these users in a clear design.

Design Aim
Through my design process, I kept referencing the Formula 1 website because I felt that the user would benefit from a consistent design and layout through all Formula websites.
The official Formula 1 font and Montserrat were used on the website. These two fonts complement each other and are both readable and legible on the screen. I decided to use the same brand colours that were already on the website because they are very striking.

The F1 logo is very striking and clear to the user. I wanted to keep the consistency, so I designed the formula 2 and 3 logo to follow the same style.
